Marian is the real proof of what unprecedented potential the young generation has in our country. As well as the fact that a person is capable of real miracles when someone votes him confidence and gives him the green light to realize ideas and make his dreams come true.
Marianne is a key figure in the development of ELBOWas a company, not only because it has been with us for almost half of these 22 years, but also because thanks to it we have modernized many processes in the company. It is also one of the main engines for the implementation of the application SIKO Appand making it one of the most working solutions of the company and the opportunityELBOWto reduce to 19 days the term of payment to carriers.
Marianne is in ELBOWsince 2015 and for those years he has stridently and with a lot of laughter walked the path from freight forwarder to COO and shareholder.

10 years later at SIKO, what do you think is more important — to keep your initial enthusiasm or to rely on the comfort that experience gives you?
Depends on the point of view, of course. I am one of those people who continue to believe that there are no impossible things, and I truly believe that if an idea is good, there is nothing to stop you from making it happen. Yes, experience is infinitely useful, but it should rather make the fulfillment of dreams easier, and not put you in a routine. Walking on a beaten path may be safe, but I am equally sure that it is not always a guarantee of development, of change for the better, of innovation or of overcoming challenges.
Does the dynamics of the forwarding business not bring you into the routine inherent in people with experience?
I will say again that it depends on the point of view, and to the next question I promise not to answer that again. 😀 Dynamics is possible to put you in some framework, because, indeed, a large part of our daily work cases are repeated. On the other hand, each case is unique because there is a different person standing opposite. And you are looking for a solution that is valid in the first place for the person you work with, and the case then resolves itself. Because, to be a good forwarder is to be able to see the situation through the eyes of the customer, but also of the carrier and make it so that both are satisfied. This approach is also one of the main factors that attracted me toELBOWAnd 10 years later, I still come to work with the same enthusiasm with which I did the first year. I think that working in a company that first values you as a person, and then as an employee, is really invaluable.
Does the energy of this potential move SIKO forward?
Definitely yes! The truth is that often the team in a company is a mirror of its direct managers and of management.ELBOWis no exception. And if 21 years later, in addition to our daily business, we are driven forward by our desire to change, renew, modernize, technologize or simply to facilitate our work and that of our partners, it is because with this enthusiasm we are all injected. I think this is one of the things that distinguishes us from most colleagues in the market in our country.ELBOWis a 100% Bulgarian company, but the skepticism, indecision and pessimism inherent in the local way of thinking, frankly, are alien to us. And if they were not, we could not achieve such a pleasant working environment, nor could we offer high quality services or be a guarantor of security and professionalism.
And finally: what are your plans for the future?
Still, I'm more of an operative than a director. And not to lose my sense of humor. Because it's easier when you look more clearly at things, when you don't limit yourself, when you remember more closely about the sparkle in the eyes of a child who decided to jump into the deepest puddle. I hope for a long and sunny summer! 😀😀😀
